It may be true, for
the most part, that a cabinet isn't really any more
than a box to put "stuff" in; but the kind of box
you put that "stuff" in speaks volumes about who
you are, what you value and how you approach life.
Welcome to my webpage and thank you for visiting.
I have an M.F.A.
in professional scene design and set building, but
after years of throwing perfectly good lumber and
theater set pieces in dumpsters at the end of the
run, I really wanted to use my skills to build
something that would last for generations, not
weeks. Moving to Ft Bragg in 1988 and starting
work for a great local cabinet maker turned my
whole professional career around.
Today I build
custom cabinets: kitchen and bath, entertainment
centers, workstations, display cases, desks,
headboards and other pieces either of your design
or mine. I am certified as a DuPont Corian ®
fabricator and installer and am licensed by
California as a cabinetmaker, license #
670117.
Not everything
photographs well, and some of my projects not
included on the website include seven foot high
shoji screens on tracked devices, a custom floor to
floor ladder for tank house living (crafted from
redwood and fir with copper tube handrails), and
four wall walk in showers custom fabricated in
Corian®. Thanks to my theatrical training, I
am proficient in faux finishing, stain coloring and
grain and shade matching, and unusual construction
techniques requiring creative thinking. I also
repair structurally or cosmetically damaged
cabinetry. I only work for one customer at a time
and that customer is my only priority.
Please consider
me for your woodworking needs. I am resourceful,
work with high quality materials and tools, place a
high value on quality craftsmanship, and am
motivated to get your job completed to your
satisfaction.
