"...
some of the most aesthetically coherent work being
done in wood today. If art is the eloquent
communication of humanly important things, these
are the works of a true poet of his
craft."
--Glenn
Gordon, Woodwork, Feb. 1999
The very
finest wood furniture has qualities which are not
all immediately visible. Nor is it necessarily
flamboyant. It combines refined design with
construction methods reflective of both skill and a
dedication to quality which is not merely a surface
attribute. It may perhaps be striking, but must
also be made so as to satisfy in a full and lasting
way. It might rather be quiet than loud.
