Sawtimber trees measure from 11" to 48" dbh which
account for 73% of a total growing stock volume of
over two billion cubic feet.
Bigleaf
Maple is pale pinkish-brown to almost white,
characterized by a close, fine grain. Its uniform
color lends itself to the manufacture of fine wood
furniture and cabinets. It is also peeled for
innerplies in softwood plywood panels, used for
pallets and chipped for paper products.
Bigleaf
Maple falls into the medium density range; it is
moderately heavy, strong and hard. It accepts all
types of stains and finishes uniformly.
Random
length is generally limited to 10' and width to 10"
in thicknesses of 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 8/4, 10/4 and
12/4. Available in S2S, and custom millwork in S4S,
cut stock, turning stock and laminated stock.
